Brazilian drum and bass legend DJ Marky certainly knows how to work a crowd. He’s been able to build such a strong and diverse following of fans not just because his music is on another level, which it is, but because this is a guy who understands what a crowd wants and then he gives it to them. His sets always blow me away and never fail to be on point.
DJ Marky’s tracks are beat heavy throughout, but he’s far from a one trick pony. During a set he switches rhythms so fast and so effortlessly, you’ll wonder how it was even possible. DJ Marky is not a man who builds up to his transitions, he’s a man who hits you with them so flawlessly you can’t help but be blown away.
During a live set you absolutely have to take a moment away from dancing to go up to the booth and watch DJ Marky do his thing up close and personal. Somehow, DJ Marky always seems to be doing three things at once and it’s totally fascinating. Expect lots of remixes thrown in with his original tracks like “lk feat. stamina mc” and “Shame” during a set, but more than anything expect to have an epic time.
