Biography
Whist still teenagers at high school, There For Tomorrow began to take shape, featuring Maika Maile (lead vocals/guitar), Christian Climer (lead guitar, vocals), Chris Kamrada (drums) and Jay Enriquez (bass). By 2004, still very much in their youth, There For Tomorrow had independently released their debut, "Point of Origin." Gaining airplay at local stations led to appearances at Warped Tour Festival, finding a fan in producer Hames Paul Wisner. He then lent his talents to their 2007 EP, "Pages," which secured the band a recording contract with Hopeless Records.
With Hopeless Records, they found the platform needed, helping to gain high profile support slots with All Time Low and We The Kings, as well as releasing their second full-length, "A Little Faster," in 2009. Growing in popularity, they had songs featured on a number of commercials and T.V. shows, as well as embarking on tours with Mayday Parade and Rocket to the Moon.
Following the remix EP, "Re:Creations," a third album, "The Verge" was released, still finding more and more fans of their brand of pop punk. Extensive touring once again filled the band's time, even making their way across the UK and Europe. After several teaser releases of their new EP, "Nightscape," it saw an eventual release of May 2014, receiving positive reviews in the process. Yet after this success, There For Tomorrow decided to disband by the end of the year, hoping to celebrate their career with a series of performances as their farewell tour.
Live reviews
Who says music is all about the here and now? Meet Floridian Alt-Rock quartet Maika Maile, Christian Climer, Jay Enriquez and Chris Kamrada aka There For Tomorrow.
As with any other high school band, you go through transition until you find your unique sound. After experimenting with the hardcore genre for their first album, TFT soon evolved their sound incorporating their alternative rock and pop-punk influences which transpired into their “Pages” EP which got them the attention of Hopeless Records. Their first release with Hassle “A Little Faster” gave them definition and catapulted them into the spotlight. Off the back of that TFT have since played Vans Warped Tour several times, gaining in popularity and collecting adoring fans along the way. Supporing bands such as The Friday Night Boys, Silverstein and Deaf Havana has enabled them to travel, bringing the ‘Tomorrowness’ to mainland Europe and Japan. The title track “A Little Faster” demonstrated their new mature sound finding the right balance between pop and rock whilst retaining the essence of the band. Whilst “Burn the Night” revealed a more sentimental side to the band with beautifully integrated heartfelt lyrics combined with emotive vulnerability present in Maile’s vocals, leaving you with goosebumps.
With their catchy choruses and imploding energetic rock easily translated into their live performances it’s no surprise that so many fans have grown to love them so. What more could you ask for in a show?
