Last night my best friend and I were lucky enough to see Architecture in Helsinki live at a regional music festival. The entire crowd went wild when they took the stage and the sun set, leading us into a wonderful night of synthpop and psychedelic tunes.
I was excited to see two main vocalists throughout the show, although the female vocals were a little weak compared to their studio sound. The band was on point throughout the show, though, even during the more difficult synthesizer solos and drum sets. They were very high energy throughout the set, and they all danced and jammed out to every single song.
This was even more evident during their more psychedelic tracks like Contact High, where their movements and dancing were tied directly to the ups and down in the song's tempo. This was definitely a treat for any concert-going psychonauts, but it was also very enjoyable for the rest of us! The crowd was very tame and I didn't get anything spilled on my new coat - no injuries, either! There was a mosh pit at the front for a few songs, but it didn't really seem appropriate given their songs and content. Their energy is contagious and I will definitely be looking more into their music and upcoming live shows.
