This was our first experience of live Smoke Fairies after having loved their music ever since hearing their first album. You might say we were rather excited by the prospect!
They were superb! At some point during the set I actually had pins and needles going up and down my spine from the sonic excellence of the set. It was a shortish set but packed with great music and warmth. They are extremely accomplished musicians and even quite funny when it came to banter between songs. Very powerful and thoroughly engrossing. After the set they chatted and signed the merch. Final verdict? Committed and powerful musicians with a sound all of their own. Can't wait to see them again.
