SIMPLY THE BEST
I have been following this band for 5 years now, and to have finally seen them live just takes my breathe away! August 22, 2018 in Asbury Park,New Jersey- Thank you Asbury Park! This band sounds as good live as they do on records. To me their signature song is “Calm Me Down” because that is the song that led me to them. This cover of The band The Human Expression from 1966, is as uniquely cool and gripping as the original. I bought multiple copies of both these groups because I hit the repeat button so often. When I first heard Allah-Las I thought they were a band from the middle 1960’s that I had missed, I was stunned to find out that they are young band of today! They really have that “sound” that I and many others like.
I also like the way Allah-Las writes songs and allows the vocal talent of each member Shine through, showing that they are not only instrumentally talented which is great in itself. I do not care what anyone may say, to me you dudes are the coolest thing going today!!! Your sound is forever.
Traveling to north Jersey to see Allas-Las was easy considering that I was willing to get tickets to Marfa,Texas, or anywhere in California to finally see them play. Thanks and please come to Cape May county in south Jersey.
