Live reviews
Mads Langer, the Danish native who is currently on tour, has a fantastically ambient drone playing as he takes to the stage in the dim blue light. There are drones of instruments playing such as the synthesizer, a chorus of choirs and a guitar. He opens with his song “The River Has Run Wild”, immediately grabs the audience with his smooth tenor voice that fills this room. His voice, so controlled, takes the audience on a journey throughout this song, he showcases his effortless talent that is his stunning voice, a beautiful low range, a haunting falsetto, all of course, is note perfect. It is when he takes his Fender Telecaster and delivers a guitar solo to match the caliber of Prince, on a guitar doused in overdrive and delay. He picks up his acoustic guitar and plays a song called “I’m Leaving” he stops mid way through the first chorus and in his humble voice he says to the audience that this is the moment for dancing. Definitely is. Mads Langer is one of those people you need to go and see live. He will not disappoint, pure talent.
