Biography
Jeremy Camp grew up surrounded by music. His father, Tom, was the pastor at Harvest Chapel, and taught him how to play guitar. After completing high school, Camp attended an Assemblies of God college in Southern California for two years and later earned an associate of theology degree from Calvary Chapel Bible College. He later played all over Southern California.
His career has been extremely successful to date, having scored 32 No.1 hits on Christian Radio across all formats. His album “Beyond Measure” contributed six back-to-back No. 1 hits, including his track “Let It Fade” which maintained the No. 1 spot for 10 weeks on AC Radio.
Camp landed top spots for “Take You Back” and “Lay Down My Pride”. He also was voted the Best Male Artists in the 2005 Reader’s Choice Music Awards in the Christianity Today Magazine. It was in 2005 that he won the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year and the Dove Award for Male Vocalist of the Year for the second consecutive year. His song “Open Up You Eyes” was featured on the original soundtrack of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
In 2007, the first single, “Tonight” from the album “Beyond Measure” was released in mid-August, and eventually made it to No. 1 on the Christian contemporary hit radio. “Give Me Jesus”, the third single released from the album made it into the top 5 on inspirational radio. It was this year that he released a two disc CD and DVD for his concert tour “Live Unplugged” recorded in Franklin, Tennessee.
His best selling album in his career so far has been “We Cry Out: The Worship Project” which was released on August 24th 2010. It made it to number 15 in the US charts and number 1 in the Christian charts.
Live reviews
I saw Jeremy Camp @ Northwestern University on Sat., Oct. 11. There is absolutely NO WAY he could have been any more enjoyable, entertaining or his concert improved upon. He was funny, sweet, engaging, thoughtful, sincerely grateful to us, his fans, for coming out to see him perform. His band members interacted with him in a very personal and respectful way, and he was very appreciative and cordial to everyone. He got us all pumped up by his spontaneity, infectious, bubbly, sincere and enthusiastic performance. There were personal stories of faith, song writing, places he has visited, circumstances he has found himself in. He kept telling us all that God and Jesus love us no matter WHAT, and when we think NO ONE ELSE does... and he had us all believing that it was true. He is by far the most personable, enthusiastic, down to earth and fantastic vocal performer I have ever listened to or seen in the Christian Rock genre. The crowd loved him, warmed to and responded to his fabulous voice and words. The tickets were extremely reasonably priced, the location fitting, the whole evening was one of utter delight... I will never forget his performance, and would go back in a heartbeat if given the chance again at these ticket prices and at this venue. Mr. Camp... you are the GREATEST!!! Keep making more songs and albums for many years to come!
Seeing Jeremy Camp two years ago at a local festival in Gilford NH at Soulfest was the best experience I had.
He is very passionate about his music and is a Christian singer. He plays at a lot of Christian music festivals throughout the year. One of his songs Overcome helps people to overcome a tragedy in their life whatever it might be. Jeremy Camp has released eleven albums. Now onto what soulfest is - soulfest used to be a four day Christian music festival, but this year has been moved to three days (I will still be there - that won't stop me!) It is an outdoor festival at gunstock mountain in Gilford NH at which over 100 Christian artists perform songs, Jeremy Camp two years ago being one of them. My favorite songs of his are Jesus Saves, Overcome and There will be a day, all of which he performed. There is so much to say about someone who is so passionate about their love for God and shows it every night. They are on fire, they have a light about them, and a joy about them. Which is something I hope to do one day.
Jeremy Camp has gained a huge following for his Christian pop/rock sound which has gained him huge success on the US Christian charts as well as appearing numerous times on the Billboard. With his gaining momentum, Jeremy has taken his live show from humble beginnings to large stages entertaining huge numbers of fans.
He still has a great manner in making the whole experience feel very personable. It is the combination of the traditional way in which he performs his songs and his natural, easygoing mannerisms with the crowd as he exchanges onstage chatter and jokes with a number of the audience and makes them all feel very included. His faith is very much at the centre of the show and he makes impassioned speeches about the influence of religion on songs before performing heartfelt versions of 'There Will Be a Day' and 'I Still Believe'. It is the sincerity overall though that really stands Jeremy above the crowds and proves he feels genuinely blessed to be onstage.
From start to finish the Lord was in this place! Every artist, every ministry was truly beautiful and spoke or sang from the heart - even the Dora the Explorer song. ;-)
Jemery Camp's testimony speaks volumes to how the Lord works to bring all things together for our good. Out of the pain and the sorrow springs HOPE and hearts transformed for Christ. Not just the testimony about losing his first wife to cancer at a young age, but also how his parents saw how the Lord was working through him and his music and took out a loan to buy him his first guitar with no promise of repayment or even if he'd be successful. Just hearts of love for a son following his calling.
The Spirit moves in songs of worship and praise!
Praise Jesus!
Seeing Jeremy Camp in concert was the best THING EVER!!! It was awesome to hear my favorite songs in person, and every song was very meaningful. Before some songs, Jeremy would talk about God, or experiences in his life when God touched him, or why he wrote the song!! It was an amazing experience!! God's presence was totally in that church! When Jeremy sang Can't Be Moved, I thought that the roof of the church would fling itself into outer space!!! :) Anyway, if you are unsure about seeing one of Jeremy Camp's concerts, I would highly recommend seeing it!! See ya'll winners later!!
PS (I got a "I want my life to be only Christ in me shirts!! Who has one of those? It's my favorite shirt to wear!!)
The show last night was awesome! I was with a small group from my church and we all had a great time worshipping with everyone! But when Jeremy came on stage he was so full of energy and looked fabulous! I for one couldn't get over his physique! He is in fantastic shape! He did all of my favorites. God saved my life 2/19/17 I was dying of liver disease & God made it possible for me to get a transplant-even the doctors didn't expect me to survive the operation, but Our Wonderful Father God had a different plan and now I am evangelising to every one I meet.

I had never heard of Jeremy Camp before. My boyfriend suggested that we go. I am so glad we did. The venue was a little smaller than I am used to but then again, it was my first time going to a church for a concert. The set was amazing! I give kudos to his light and tech staff. The stage was set up with ample view of everything going on. It was nice to see his band on the big screen too. It was a great show!
I Had a great time at the concert. Jeremy gave an outstanding performance not just with his music and voice but his preaching reached my heart and got even even closer to the Lord. I was filled with compassion and love for the Lord and my for fellow Christians and people in general. Would love to see him again in the near future.

My husband and I saw Jeremy Camp perform at Calvary Church in Westlake Village. It was one of the most incredible nights of praise and worship ever! Such an intimate setting to hear our favorite artist for 2 hours! He is an awesome songwriter and performer as well as a lover of Jesus. We cannot wait to see him again!
