Biography
They originally began as a hardcore pop-punk outfit, but got bored with analogue sounds and moved towards more electronic influences.
Their sound is perhaps most comparable to the geeky dubstep stylings of Skrillex. There is an affinity in dubstep for bratty, teenage gamer culture and DIY effects. Adventure Club pride themselves in using Cakewalk SONAR, a little-used production program, which they claim gives them a special edge over other electronic dance music artists.
Among their other influences are Flight Facilities, Greeley Estates, Bring Me the Horizon, Brand New, Tiësto and Flux Pavilion.
Also like Skrillex, they owe a great of their success to viral word of mouth marketing and video streaming platforms. Adventure Club gained notoriety when their remix of post-hardcore outfit Brand New’s track “Daisy”, the title track off their 2009 studio album, went viral with the help of a listing on The Hype Machine, an MP3 rating website.
Their reputation grew with the online release of their first music video, for their remix of “Everything To Me” by Lips (Peter Criss, the drummer of Kiss’s first band). It was featured on UKF Dubstep’s YouTube channel and gained the duo a critical mass of exposure, with two million views by November 2012.
Adventure Club are maybe best known for the viral remixes that they consistently release, a lot of them of pop-punk songs of their salad days. Among their remixes are “Put On” by Young Jeezy, featuring Kanye West, “Broken Lungs” by Thrice, “To A Friend” by Alexisonfire, “Youth” by Foxes, “Remember (Walking in the Sand) by The Shangri-las, “Till the World Ends” by Britney Spears and “Crave You” by Flight Facilities, which was used in an episode of the MTV series Teen Wolf.
Live reviews
I have seen Adventure Club do sets twice. The first time I was at Ottawa’s Bluesfest in Canada. Adventure Club are my all time favourite DJs so I may offer a bit biased review. THEY WERE AMAZING and I wasn’t able to stop jumping or screaming along to a song for the entire show. I was there with a few friends and we were all equally in awe. They mix their already amazing songs into a show that perfectly captures the energy of a crowd. They are the perfect combination of dubstep and electro with random old school thrown in. The music absolutely brings you to another world and since their fans know all of their songs the atmosphere is amazing. The second time I saw them was in London, UK at Village Underground. I went because I already loved their music and had such a good time the first time I saw them. I was actually surprised by the fan base they had in the UK since they are from Montreal. This show was equally as amazing as the Ottawa one and I would go and see Adventure Club a 3rd and 4th time without hesitation. In fact, one of my friends has seen them 5 times and another 4. GO AND RAGE! You will not be disappointed.
Christian Srigley and Leighton James, otherwise known as Canadian music duo Adventure Club have been making music as a pair since 2011 and in their short career span they have gained a big following on the live circuit. A pair who could not look more happy onstage seem to have as much fun as their crowds as they perform live.
Very much still in the experimental stage, the band only has one official EP released so their sets are made up of new material that they are trying out and solid remixes that they know the crowd will enjoy. They have a varied range of artists, hip-hop heavy reworking of 'Yeezy' by Kayne West sits well next to 'Hurricane' by MS MR. The crowd definitely inherit the band's enthusiasm as they dance with ferocious intensity to songs that may be completely new to them.
They blend their love of rock into the show with a remix of 'Love Lost' by Temper Trap before ending with a euphoric 'Youth' by Foxes which keeps the crowds reaching to the skies as the barrage of light illuminates the stage.

I have seen Adventure Club twice now and they always bring that punk sound to their music and it's just great! They had excellent visuals on their stage as well. It was amazing! Also was my first time seeing Snails, and he snailed it!
The show was fantastic!!! 10x better than expected. Songkick is the best promoter I've ever used. I wish it hadn't sold out because I paid 80$ but the show was well worth it. Thank you so much for a great show!
My third time seeing Adventure Club live. As amazing as always! These guys are fantastic. Hope to see them again soon! They even started a little longer to take pictures and talk to the fans.
