  • Every band on the bill killed it, just wish the Granada knew what Air Conditioning was.

One of the most fun and memorable sets from NFG, regardless of everyone being completely heat exhausted. There was zero air circulation or conditioning present, making the show environment nearly unbearable. Only the absolutely killer sets of all the bands made it worth staying.

  • I was really looking forward to this show at the Marquee in Tempe. Here were the Pros and Cons:

    PROS:

The band had tons of energy and the crowd was really into it.

They played a pretty good playlist and quite a few songs.

Really not a bad viewing spot in the Marquee Theater in Tempe.

    CONS:

Unfortunately I didn't think they sounded very good when compared to the studio stuff. I realize it not going to be perfect but it should be in the ballpark. They were not. It could be the venue, but the opening band Bayside sounded much better. You could not really hear the vocals for NFG. The lead singer constantly would not sing the chorus due to letting the crowd sing it. That's fine once in a while but not every song!

This band has so many great songs but they only sang 3 of their better songs (in my opinion), but did play a lot of pretty good songs.

Overall this is one of my favorite bands but seeing them live was a disappointment.

    For what it's worth:

I would give NFG a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I would give Bayside 2.5 out of 5 stars.

  • They're back and as good as they ever were!

It was so good to hear sticks and stones and catalyst played, reliving the memories of that time.

Although they group are approaching the older stages of life, they can still bring it to the show...and that's exactly what they did.

Hearing "No news is good news" live was awesome. One of those songs that are generally missed off a setlist.

Would've loved to have heard some from "Ressurection" and "Makes me Sick" too but 28 songs were good enough.

    Welcome back NFG!
