Fulanito

Fulanito are essentially a contemporary Dominican-American variety act but they put on a show that is way more exciting and current than that makes them sound. Fusing traditional Dominican Merengue típico music with contemporary influences from everything from House to Hip Hop, they bring the Dominican Republic’s musical history screaming into the 21st century.

Their live sets are high energy experiences. Often taking place in clubs under the flashing lights, Fulanito can ignite any venue with their Latin spark. With pumping bass drums mixing with the traditional percussion the crowd can’t help but move. There’s a real electricity to the music which only heightens as members begin to MC and get their fans even more pumped up. The whole set is just a rising volcano of furious energy that feels like it could erupt and blow the roof off the club at any moment. Having grown up in New York City, Fulanito are another product of the city’s cultural melting pot and the group’s unique fusion has grown to be a hit with audiences all over the US.
