Biography
Inspired to play music by the legendary, all-female hard rock band The Donnas after her step-father gave her a record of theirs at the tender age of nine, Tanner Elle Schneider had picked up the guitar by the age of thirteen and started writing her own songs. While at first she was inspired by hard rock and soul, by the time she reached her late teens she discovered a passion for bluegrass music that inspired her to take up the banjo as well. It was this combination of rock, soul and country that would influence her songwriting the most, and by the age of sixteen, she was playing live at the nightclubs of New York City (where she was studying in college), while getting in with a fake I.D.
Wisely, Schneider took her time before properly debuting as a singer/songwriter, and she didn't sign her first record deal until late 2011. Fortunately, the time that she'd taken to prepare had paid off, and the company she signed with ended up being RCA Records, who released her debut single “Good To Be A Man” in March 2012. Since then, she's released her debut album “Love Stuff” in 2015, and toured with everyone from Ed Sheeran and James Blake to Dropkick Murphys and Train. She's and artist with the world at her feet, and the sky is well and truly the limit at this point. For that, she comes highly recommended.
Live reviews
I bought tickets for her April 23 show in Portland, Maine. Was so excited to go! We planned a overnight because we live 2 1/2 hours from Portland. I was so disappointed when we had to leave by the 3rd song. It was so loud in the theater it was making me physically sick. I've seen a couple of other shows there and love the place. It was even to loud for my husband, and he cranks the tunes. I hope she come to Portland again soon, I want to see her so bad, but the sound guys really need to improve the system. Couldn't understand anything see was saying.
I am completely happy that I made this concert!
It was quite the blend of people coming to check her out!
My cousin who I brought, didn't know much about her but loved her charisma and down to earth style :-D
My feet will recover from jamming!!!
The open band was fabulous as well, we both didn't know them and they really got the crowd moving!!'
I found out three or four hours before the doors were scheduled to open that the concert was cancelled. No info on way, although at the time, Elle's website was still listing tickets for the show for sale. Disappointing. I'm a huge fan and was looking forward to it. Got my tickets the day they went on sale.
We've been listening to Elle King for a few months now and love her voice. We went to the concert Friday at 1st bank center in Broomfield and fell in love with her even more after seeing her sassy self in person! She has a powerful voice and we will be following her whenever she is in Colorado.
Elle is awesomeness rolled up in one sexy talented lady. The show was amazing! Love her stage presence. Terrific night out! Hope to see her again in the future. Boulder Theater was very helpful being that I have accessibility problems. I couldn't be happier. Will be back again!

Amazing Live! Such energy, really enjoyed the show. House of Blues is an awesome venue. Hope to see her there again. We purchased VIP after arriving, we were originally told it was sold out, but then they opened it up. THE BALCONY VIEW WAS GREAT.

Elle kicked a$$ at the Varsity on 6/11/15! I had never seen her before and her feisty rapport, edgy lyrics and raspy vocals brought the house down! I was as entertained by her stories along with her songs. What a great band too! Great show!
