Mozart is considered by many to be the most gifted musician to have ever lived.
His father was a talented musician and Mozart himself was a child prodigy. He had mastered the piano and violin as a child and began composing at the age of 5. By the time he had reached his teens, he was performing for Royal families around Europe.
The genius he had can’t be denied, a level which I doubt will ever be repeated. His works are to classical music, what Shakespeare's are too English Literature. The fact they are still repeated and performed by orchestras around the world 200 years after his death, show Mozarts talent. Many other legendary composers such as Beethoven and Hayden lived in Mozart shadow. Hayden himself claimed “posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years”. He completed other 600 pieces of work in his career, ranging from symphonies and operas through to chamber music. His most famous pieces of music, Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, Symphony No. 40 in G minor and the opera Don Giovanni, have all stood the test of time and are consider by many to be true masterpieces of classical music.
