HÆLOS

I had heard the Haelos album playing at Resident record shop in Brighton and at the time didn't know who they were but liked the style of music. On getting home I decided to check if they were playing any gigs and it so happened they were at the Hope & Ruin on May 6th so I immediately booked the tickets through Songkick and went along.
The support act were Vaimo a local Brighton duo so I listened to some tracks before going down to the venue. They were very good and the female vocalist, Danni Wells,had a great voice combined with some complex sounds set up by Josh Harrison who also played guitar. As with many support bands they did not have the mixing desk run by anybody else so they did well trying to mix the voice and music sonically but occasionally Danni's voice was 'drowned' Still definitely a duo to look out for and well worth seeing.

Haelos then came on and in such a cosy venue it was a truly great atmosphere everybody seemed to love the music. Lotti has a fantastic voice and range and with Arthur the songs were terrific. Dom is superb on keyboards and the base /keyboard player Bo I think plus Dave the drummer are truly superb. The drumming was crisp and never drowned out the rest of the music or singing.

What a great band they are and really do deserve success it was so good as well in such an intimate setting. I could not resist at the end when, in a level of disorganised but relaxed chaos the band members were there sorting out tee shirts and vinyl to sell. I bought the album and all band members signed it so that was a great ending to the night.
I totally recommend anybody to watch this band if they like great voices and a 'full musical' sound that just rocks the venue.

I saw them play yesterday in Berlin. In my opinion they could be a great live band if they changed their drummer. The band's music is very delicate but the drummer was bashing with full force, completely ignoring the atmosphere of the songs, and not allowing for quieter or more high-energy parts. In the process he mostly drowned out the keys and the guitar, even the singer. He also seemed so obsessed with hitting the drums at full force at all time that we wasn't even on time 100% when playing fills. Dear drummer, why not leave your ego behind a bit more and learn how to support a band, their songs and play in groove instead of trying to be the center of the stage? After listening to the band for 45 mins I decided to leave because the loud snare drum was going right to my head and causing a headache. What a pity because I really like this band's music!

Discovered on Spotify, bought the vinyl and then new speakers just to hear the full range of such a meticulous multi-level production.

Saw them at the Teregram Ballroom in LA taking the whole room on their musical journey, and then hang back after to sign Ts and say hi with a real sense of genuine appreciation and affection for all their fans, following and music-geek friends.

An amazing show. Such a treat to hear them in an intimate venue like the Wise Hall. Felt like we were all in on an incredible secret. Lotte’s Voice is sublime and Dom, Art and the rest of the band were outstanding. Great to chat with the band after as well. Please comeback to Vancouver and if Haelos are coming to your city. Drop everything and GO!

Haelos played a great concert in Utrecht. Music and voices at the highest level! I waited for their concert for 3 months and I know it was worth it. Haelos has great potential to become a top-class star, they give a real show that draws you in and your body sways to the rhythm of their music. I look forward to the next concert! I love you!

Amazing Performers! One of the best shows I have ever seen... Good interaction with the crowd. Given it was a smaller venue this added to the experience on a whole new level making it more personal and interactive. They even took the time to meet and greet afterwards.

Great performance and fantastic music show with a lot of positive atmosphere. Some songs played in modified version, which made the show unique. Lotti knows how to perform good performance and gives great music show.

Amazing performance!!!! They sounds as well as the récord!!!! Love it, they put so much passion in their performance and deserves a big applause!!

Amazing show! Even better live than expected. Great sound in a small, intimate venue. Kind of curious how they're not a bigger name already. Excited for their new album coming out soon.
