Half of seeing doom metal live, is the performance that they bring to the stage, and Saint Vitus are all about putting on a great show. As one of the first ever doom metal bands starting way back in the 70s, the band have a huge following, and have several albums and awards under their belts. Although their line up had changed and they had a lengthy hiatus, the band are still as strong as ever and still producing incredible music.
They opened the show with Let Them Fall, which had everyone in the audience singing along straight away. They launches straight into instrumental solos, as well as playing their catchy metal choruses over and over again to get everyone singing along. Dave Chandler performed some epic guitar solos with the instrument over his head, behind his back, and even lying on the floor.
They performed a great selection of their new, and older music, and even played some unreleased tracks which was epic to hear as an audience. Their authentic metal appearance makes the evening even more exciting and intense, it was like being back in the 80s.
Awesome band, incredibly crappy location and sound.
Avoid this location. All they know is to turn the sound UP, no knowledge whatsoever about mixing, equalizing etc. The band asked them to do smth about it - no ewply.
