The Drowned God

I don't want to blame it on the artists but it was such a bad night for me (I will blame it on the "venue" though, Slim's Raleigh).

1. Ticket price wasn't as advertised on the venue website. Usher was rude when I asked out of curiosity why is it different. His justification was it is the right price on Facebook and another platform and since it is 2 vs 1, 2 wins (even though the 1 was their website, funny yeah?).

2. I know it is common that shows get a bit delayed so I always expect it. However, this night the show started more than 2 hours late.

3. This show had 3 bands. Their music can fall on the lines of post-metal, post-hardcore, hardcore punk, which are genres I like. The venue decided to make their local friends play their hip-hop or whatever music even when it was not advertised.

4. Last but not the least, last band played, Earther, had only 1 of 3 band members showing up for some flight issue. I totally understand emergencies but something like this need to be announced at least from the very beginning of the night. But no they waited till the guy was on stage and he announced himself.

I honestly don't think I will see the three bands again if they are around but I won't honestly blame it on them. What I am sure of is that I will never go to this venue again.
