This was the best live show I have ever been too. grandson played his whole discography while balancing out speaking briefly on issues he writes about in his music. the music itself engaged the audience from the first song and had everyone for the full gig in what can only be described as the steps before a most pit. everyone including the artists were sweaty from dancing and screaming to his relatable songs till the final one. grandson has music which is better played live than over any speaker, technology just cannot capture the passion and fire in him and the music. grandson also took the chance after the show to meet a few fans which was highly appreciated.
If you want the chance to be angry, proud, happy and reflective this is the gig for you. I’ve never connected to or felt so safe in a crowd like this. I’ve still got neck ache from rocking out so hard. grandson rocks the f*ck out, you don’t wanba miss next time b
The show was amazing. Small venue, but it was the right size for the crowd. I managed to be towards the front. Grandson was energetic, a bit sassy towards the audience, and overall a great performer. The opening acts were fine, but I wish there had been just one opening band, rather than two. It made the show significantly longer, especially when taking into account the time spend changing the set for each band. The crew did awesome, but changing drum sets, guitars, checking lights, and re-checking the mic each time a new band was about to preform took so much time because of how many groups played. Also, during the second band their lights were constantly in my eyes. The other bands were fine, because they aimed the lights over the crowd. But for whatever reason, this band just really wanted us to see those lights in intimate, eye-burning detail.
grandson put on an AWESOME show at The Crocodile in Seattle. BarlowLN and Des Rocs opened... I had never heard BarlowLN before but really enjoyed his music, and DesRocs is one of my favorite artists and they went HARD. So so so good. Then after an hour or two, grandson was on and he did not disappoint. Super hype, super loud, super awesome. He took little breaks between some songs to talk about his political views and made some really good points about how you don't have to agree with him but that everyone's voices should be heard. He closed with Blood//Water and actually came out into the crowd to sing it - super cool. Then for an encore he played 2 more songs, meaning that he played every single one of his songs :) Overall, it was amazing and I would DEFINITELY see him live again.
My experience at the Grandson Concert on September 15, 2019, was amazing. I had the VIP tickets so it put the icing on the cake. The vibe there was very welcoming and everyone was just there to have a good time. I've met and talked with so many people who were genuinely cool. There was a mix of every kind of human being there. When I was at that concert it was like a euphoric feeling. There's nothing like it. I was felt so connected to the music and the people that the essay that I had due later that night didn't matter to me at all. It was one of the best days of my life. Also meeting him was very cool too. He's really chill and cares about the future and is passionate about his messages that he was conveying.
Always puts on an amazing performance. His set got a serious upgrade with some cool lighting effects on the back of the stage. A pit broke out in every single song, it was amazing. Even during a slow song, the same 15 guys that had moshed all night slowly swayed together in a chain of wholesomeness. Then they got restless and had a slow motion mosh. The crowd is a fun mix of dramatic looking goths and completely normal looking schmucks. Grandson interacts so well with his crowds. He speaks truthfully and carefully and performs amazingly. The entire audience just eats out of the palm of his hand.
There’s no way to listen to grandson and not feel like overturning the government, and that’s just me listening to their music in my pajamas on my couch. Seeing grandson live??? That was exhilarating and powerful, it was an experience I’ll never forget. AMAZING performers, just as I expected. I didn’t think it was possible but I definitely fell more in love with Jordan and his vision. Since “Bury Me Face Down” in 2016 to “a modern tragedy vol. 2” in 2019 and so much more!! Can’t wait to watch these guys take on the world
One of the best nights of my life, honestly. Me and my best friend attended The Underworld in Camden and were one of the first ten people in the queue, so were invited in for a private meet and greet with Grandson! We also got to be the first ten to sign the XXResistance board. It was incredible, and the show was outstanding. So much energy and love in the room, plus some real talk about current issues in the world. Grandson is such an inspiration, I can't wait till next tour!!

My daughter and I are SUPER EXCITED to see Grandson in Detroit in March!!
She is physically handicapped and spends a LOT of time in the hospital, and back and fourth to doctors appointments...
MUSIC helps make the tough times easier to get through.
When she heard that Grandson was going to be in Detroit, we jumped at the chance to see him!!
During so many hard times his music has helped both of us keep our chins up and keep rockin'!!
Thanks!! Robyn and Lilly Hejhal
Grandson put on a fantastic show at The Orpheum. I’m a huge fan, so I went into the show with high expectations, and every expectation I had was absolutely blown away. The energy was high throughout the show, the crowd was fully engaged, and the atmosphere was astoundingly supportive. Easily one of the best shows (if not THE best show) I’ve ever seen.
The concert was amazing! One of the best I've been to. Except that some people were forcibly pushing to get to the front. I was enjoying the concert then suddenly almost fell to the ground because of it. It wasn't just me but like 5 other people next to me were shoved cause there was no room while they were still attempting to shove to the front.
