Strings for Ammo are a Brisbane based duo who met at various Jam nights in and around the city. They like to collaborate with friends nationally and internationally when writing as this is a great way to meet new artists, share new ideas, opportunities and also a great way to be introduced to new music.
The boys work tirelessly and vigorously to fund their next musical venture, whatever that may be by busking up and down the east coast of Australia and by gigging as often as 4 times per week. They don’t care too much for fancy bios letting you know how good they are, where they’ve been and what they’ve done. Just have a listen or go to a show and make your own mind up.
In March 2013, the band recorded a Busking EP titled ‘Not Official’. The emphasis behind the recording was to capture the energy that they display in their live performances and sell the CD whilst busking. The product is a raw acoustic collection of songs. It’s simple, Strings for Ammo love making music, and their musical connection can be heard in each track.
