A Ronnie Scott’s Late Late Show regular, Creature. presents a fusion of club-ready jazz and broken beat, designed specifically for London dancefloors. Perhaps best known for his work as a session player for emerging artists like Yaya Bey and Cosmo Pyke, Creature. (AKA Jim Cornelissen) cites Yussef Dayes and Alfa Mist as influences, as well as footwork producer Machinedrum and Flying Lotus.
Creature. will be joined by emerging force in the UK’s nu-jazz and soul scene, MADELEINE. A singer, songwriter and producer with deep musical roots, her sound draws from progressive electronics layered with the soulful songwriting of Lianne La Havas and Stevie Wonder. With support from Jazz FM, BBC Introducing and WordPlay, and worldwide tours under her belt as the keys player for Arlo Parks, Poppy Ajudha and Kwaku Asante, MADELEINE is carving out a space entirely her own. Her 2023 mixtape Sun Daughter captures late-night drives, natural landscapes and rich jazz textures, all delivered with the finesse of an artist at the forefront of London’s next wave.
