This well dressed club night audience at this 32 story-building venue, line the bars and then the dance floor in a somewhat regimented fashion. There are diamonds and pearls all accompanied by vogues and Grey Goose. It’s not much of an evening that the focus is all about the act that is playing, I mean, at the end of the day it’s a DJ that is playing but they are the focal point. Enter Mauro Picotto, spinning a web of synth laden tracks over a 132 bpm four to the floor beat that fills the walls right to the windows of this 32 story building club. It really is a euphoric atmosphere. There are techno tracks that people recognize and the dance offs start to occur, such as “Komodo” which was an international hit in the year 2000, “Proximus” is another highlight of this set. “Like This Like That” is one of those tracks that if you’re a huge fan you’ve really got to get into the back catalogue but hey. Fantastic set from Mauro Picotto.
