Adrian West Band is a five-piece acoustic rock ensemble from Oakland. They play a fun mix of originals, covers and instrumentals plus a bit of jazz. Some have described their sound as “Paul Simon meets Talking Heads”.
Adrian enjoys setting philosophical lyrics to joyful music. His topics may veer a tad dark at times but the underlying music is uplifting, giving the listener a richly layered experience. Whether he's telling a story about a skinny-dipping episode gone awry or grappling with some major challenge facing humanity, his lyrics are infused with equal parts hope, realism and whimsy.
