Felix da Housecat - half feline, half divine. With his slinky sonic beats that have you gliding across the dance floor, it's hard to think of a more important contributor to house music today. His genre spans resolute house and acid through to techno. He's always mixing it up on the decks and at his shows. How can you ever know what to expect? This was once again a grooving night, even at the relatively small venue he played. With lasers bouncing off the walls and people bouncing off each other. He's best known for his remixes of Madonna, Britney and other popular artists of the ilk – but don't let that fool you. This guy is anything but populist. Everything he played sounded as fresh as it ever has. He's still friends with P Diddy – his music gets played all over the world – and this gig went crazy for da Housecat. His transitions are flawless, even when mixing between genres, dropping from one to the other. Absolute highlight had to be when he held one record back for a couple of beats, before really letting it drop, feeling the crowd surge with energy around us all. Felix means lucky in Latin – and Felix sure is a one of a kind lucky guy.
