What a wonderful show! I met so many great people. Of course, I already knew that Mark Lawrence is a big-hearted soul with a wonderful, tenor voice. I had never heard Burns & Kristy; they were delightful. Delicious songwriting and sweet 3-part vocal harmonies. I was awestruck by Christopher Morgan Loy's composition. It was too short and I wanted more. I look forward to hearing more of his music soon.
Of course, the choirs were there and sounding beautiful: Ithaca Gay Men's Chorus, First Baptist Church choir, and Savage Club (of which I'm a part). Finally, Opera Ithaca members performed solos prior to the grand finale with all the choirs singing bits of Les Miserables.
Add to this the fact that it was a great cause -- Ithaca Welcomes Refugees -- and "Love Beyond Borders"was a well-rounded musical evening. Thanks again, Mark!
