Deborah Bonham

First visit to the newly created studio at Portsmouth guildhall to see local lass Deborah Bonham. A great success for both. An intimate venue of reasonable size as she commented herself. Guest harp and fiddle players adorned a welcome return from the rock chick after serious spinal injury. Ongoing banter with her partner and the rest of the accomplished band was the icing on the cake of a vibrant performance over a range of self penned material. Actually the best I have seen from her obviously so pleased to return to the stage. Seventies retro maybe but stylish tight and not self indulgent a performance to savour. Imaginative arrangements and quality instrumentalist throughout. An entertaining night indeed.
