I went to this show with my parents. They had an extra ticket. I had honestly never heard of Chicago before but my folks were big fans. I was really impressed by the band. They had so much energy and the brass section of the band was so awesome.
I think they probably had the best brass section I have ever seen in a concert and the guys were very interactive with the crowd. The lead singer was also very good and he really could pound out the high notes that some of their songs require. At this show they really seemed to focus on their older songs. The ones that are not as sappy as some of their 1980’s songs were.
The best one they did was “Saturday in the Park” and they did an encore that included the great Rock and Roll song “24 or 6 to 5”.
I was really impressed with this band and the fact they have been around for more than 4 decades. It is amazing that they still are able to carry on the name and sounds from so long ago. They also just have such a great brass section which is something you do not see all the time.
