Doors 5 pm / Show 7:30 pm
Join us in the backyard for live music from Racoma and Junaco!
We're so excited to host these two incredible bands for the first concert of the summer! As always, we will have some food (most likely woodfired pizza) and drinks available, but potluck style is encouraged if you'd like to bring something. Doors will be at 5 so we can get folks fed and settled before the bands start. The event will with be kid friendly and we also encourage you to bring a camp chair or blanket for seating.
Band Bios:
Seattle-based band Racoma crafts a front porch soundscape where indie and folk influences intertwine, evoking a casual warmth like reconnecting with an old friend. Glenn Haider’s earnest vocals are complemented by Spencer Templeman’s dynamic drum sound and Sean Collopy’s lyrical guitar.
Each person’s element is essential, like voices in the heartfelt conversations that make up Racoma’s songs. Their collective sound radiates human connection, with emotional depth that draws listeners in to reflect long after the music fades.
Junaco's sophomore LP "In Motion" is a reflection of the bands' ever changing lives. Written during winter in Northern California, they were living together in one big circular structure - lighting the wood stove every morning, playing together for hours on end, hiking, sauna-ing, and getting in the icy river every night. In complete isolation and with limited access to the internet, the rest of the world felt far away, and the band was able to finally feel all of the change they had been in the midst of. Produced by the band and engineered by Mario Ramirez, the record features contributions by Oliver Hill, Tyler Chester, and more. Junaco worked closely with artist Drew Litowitz on the album cover, a collection of photos and vignettes that represent the change Junaco reflects on in the album. "In Motion" is a journey of growth, loss, and love; an experiment on what comes up when the noise dies down.
