Aicher and Young Widows

Indie Rock is one of the finer things in life, I have learnt and I will continue to learn as long as these guys stick around!

Already having released four full length albums and seven split EP's, the band have come a long way and their work rate is purely immense adding this to the fact they have been around for just under ten years, there are so many great things yet to come from this band that we simply should not ignore!

I was introduced to them a while back but I never thought anything of them when I was younger, but now I am older and my taste has developed and refined itself I am finding this band to be something truly remarkable! Their sound is very specific and from the moment they pick up their instruments and the voice comes through the microphone you immediately know it is the Young Widows from Kentucky,USA.

When the band performed their song 'The Muted Man' there were cheers from every direction and even a couple ooo's and screams which I can only assume came from the girls. The build up of the song is so immense live! You feel so powerful for some reason, the song gives you so much energy and passion as if you wrote the song yourself! The band are amazing at interacting with the crowd, always performing and getting them into the rhythms of each songs, pointed and not remaining stationary, you can not help but absorb their energy!
