Monstress bring their It’s Okay East Coast Tour to Canberra for an intimate, emotionally charged night of live music. Written by bandleader Sarah Homeh, It’s Okay explores isolation, identity and self-love, brought vividly to life through a cinematic, experimental sci-fi music video, a dreamlike queer love story that blurs music, film and performance. Raw, immersive and deeply human, this is a show for anyone who’s ever needed to be reminded that it’s okay to feel. Based on Gadigal land, Monstress are a five-piece all-female and non-binary creative collective blending jazz-infused grooves, spoken word and lush harmonies, led by bassist and vocalist Sarah Homeh, with influences ranging from Tank & The Bangas to Doja Cat, Little Simz and Erykah Badu.
