It all began in 2007, when the production duo, got straight to work on their craft. By 2012, they made it to the Top 100 DJs of 2012 list and also on to MTV Clubland’s “10 Artists to Watch in 2013.
It was in 2011, that their debut full-length studio album entitled “Piercing the Quiet” managed to unleash eight top 20 singles, five of which made the number one spot in the trance chart. Their follow up album “Piercing the Quiet Remixed” debuted at number 5 in the iTunes dance chart. 2013 was a big year for the band as they released a three EP series that had the title “Metamorphic”. The first of which, “Metamorphic I” was released on March 25th, which featured a remixes of their previously released “Bullet That Saved Me”. By June 2013, with their career only having just come to the light of the mainstream, they had released in excess of two hundred originals and remixes, and had had their talents endorsed by Tiesto, Steve Aoki and Markus Schulz.
They named their fan base the Tritonians and made appearances at “Electric Daisy Carnival and “Creamfields” in Australia, just to name a couple. It was nearing the end of 2013 that they decided to sign with Enhanced Recordings, to released the singles “Colors with Paris Blohm” and “Satellie” and they also released remixes of artists such as Zedd, Chris Tomlin and Cash Cash.
The electronic music industry is currently booming, with hundreds of quality artists fighting for the top spot. Tritonal, being on of the up and coming successful acts, have a proactive business attitude, seeking out collaborations with artists such as Cristina Soto, and even forming their own ratio station, Tritonia.
The duo are currently sitting comfortable in DJ Mag’s top 100 DJs, and were one of MTVs Artists to Watch last year. After seeing them perform live, I can see why. The enthusiasm and stage presence that they bring to the stage is immediately engaging, and from the word go they had the audience on their side. Their upbeat tracks match their energy, and the music constantly begged for the audience to dance, and I can assure you, that’s what everyone was doing.
When they performed Now or Never, they were hyping up the audience in the build up, and they extended the crescendo so that by the time the drop came in, everyone was ready to let lose and dance like crazy. The lighting and visuals were also awesome, lots of strobe, holograms, and smoke. It made a great show awesome, I’ll definitely be going back again if I get the chance.
