“What will you do / If and when I am someone else? / They are a freak… Cool / Impermanent candy” (Xiu Xiu, 2024)
Pax Ink Records is an independent digital distribution label run by Pearly Stars. Assisted on the production of this release by creative Zara Jones, together they are proud to present the first incarnation of Impermanent Candy, a compilation album of musicians from Adelaide/Kaurna land created in support of its vibrant queer community of artists. Across the 19 tracks and hour runtime of the project, Impermanent Candy Volume One whips from acoustic folk, to indie rock, to math-y screamo, often within the span of just a few tracks. Featuring submissions from The Genevieves, The Empty Threats, Placement, as well as handfuls and handfuls of emerging talent from the next wave of the Adelaide scene, Impermanent Candy is messy and beautiful, weird and wonderful, sticky and sweet.
Proceeds from digital downloading, CDs, shirts, and tickets, will be donated to Pride Foundation Australia.
