George Acosta (also known as Acco Traxx, DJ Boom, Frolic, Groove Man, Onnyx and Space Girl) is no stranger to clubs, mainly because he spins up a great set for everyone to dance and have a good time to. The American DJ was nominated as 2013’s America’s Best DJ and has been so for a reason.
He keeps his live spinning sets simple: just him and his board up on the stage, with the lights flickering in the background. He doesn’t speak out to the crowd, but lets his music speak for itself. He does move around a lot though, usually putting his hands up in the air as he feels the music, or clapping his hands together to get people pumped up and more excited (not that they need to be) and he does allow people to be around his booth. He lets his music speak for him. The transitions between his songs are smooth, and feel almost like there is no transition, just one long song. Normally this wouldn’t cut it, but in a club setting when you are dancing, this is the best thing that could happen with the music. He spins a large amount of trance music that everyone at the club expects and appreciates.
The best fucking 2 hour set I've ever heard! It was one epic track after the next. I don't think I've ever been this pumped up. I'm still sore from that night.
