Jim James also seems to have taken a more soul and jazz oriented sound with his performances as well as incorporating elements of electronic music. Jim James still approaches his singing style with a very soulful voice, which contains hints of reverb shimmering through.
Jim James’ solo performances also show him having a more free range on stage. He often takes the microphone up in his hand and struts around stage while serenading the audience with his entrancing voice in a crooner like fashion. His stage presence is also captivating. He usually dresses in a suave suit and fervently dances around stage while getting into his music. His performances are also highly engaging due to the excellent stage lighting, which creates very atmospheric vibes as well as very visually exciting displays of lights.
