Krewella, NERVO, Arty, and DVBBS

With heavy rock and dance influences, the girls first burst onto the scene with their Play Hard EP in 2011. Quickly amassing almost half a billion plays, they were pioneers in a male-dominated music industry, securing major club residencies and festival appearances. Their rebellious fashion and attitude inspired their millions of fans to embrace themselves, and they formed an obsessed collective affectionately self-dubbed as the #KREW.

With coverage from publications like the New York Times and Rolling Stone, Krewella caught the world's attention as the new age rock stars of this millennial generation. After Super Bowl spots and sold out headlining shows, Jahan and Yasmine were trail blazers for artists in the electronic genre - with their unapologetic female swagger in tow.

With the platinum hit 'Alive' under their belt, Krewella has charted hundreds of millions of streams while they have evolved into a live rock / dance hybrid act. With their versatility in their songwriting and vocal performance, the sisters' work with producers of all genres gives them the freedom to redefine their sound. With the rare ability to play both acoustic live sets and raucous Las Vegas club residencies, Krewella is one of today's most unique music performers.

They've already supported Britney Spears on the US leg of her 2011 ‘Femme Fatale’ arena tour, performed at festivals across the globe and been invited by electronic music masterminds Ministry of Sound to compile their own ‘Inspired’ mix, and they’re only getting bigger.

The sisters grew up listening to influential electronic artists such as Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx and dreamed of one day producing music like their heroes. Since Sony/ATV Music Publishing recognized their talent and signed them at the age of 18, the pair have enjoyed an astonishing rise to fame in the world of pop music and in the club scene. As a song writing team NERVO have worked with a number of artists including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kesha, The Pussycat Dolls, Cheryl Cole and even one of the biggest names in pop, Kylie Minogue.

Their success really began to skyrocket when they co-wrote the 2009 chart-topping hit ‘When Love Takes Over’ with David Guetta and Kelly Rowland, which won Guetta a Grammy and was pronounced Billboard’s number one dance/pop collaboration ever in 2013. This huge achievement led to them getting an artists’ contract with Virgin/EMI Music in 2010 and subsequently releasing a number of their own singles, such as 2011's ‘We’re All No One’ (feat. Afrojack and Steve Aoki) which made the top spot on the UK club charts and 2012’s ‘You’re Gonna Love Again’.

NERVO continue to lend their unique style and personal touch to music and fashion and are highly sought-after names in entertainment. In an industry as notoriously male-dominated as electronic music, their ascent to stardom is nothing short of inspiring, and has rightly earned them millions of fans worldwide.

It’s strange to think how little that the country of Russia seems to have contributed to mainstream popular music. After the classical greats like Stravinsky and Prokofiev, the closest we’ve come is Regina Spektor, who was born in Moscow, Russia but that hardly counts.

However, in the form of Arty we have an artist who could be the one to change all that. Stolyarov made a name for himself first when he was 19, at first collaborating with fellow DJ and remixer Misha Kitone for his early singles but then releasing his first solo E.P on the Enhanced Progressive label.

The E.P, entitled “Vanilla Sky” was enough to get him noticed by many other DJ’’s across the world, most notably English collective Above & Beyond, who signed him to their label Anjunabeats. Since then, Arty has remained an almost impossibly prolific artist. The man has produced a back catalogue of over 35 singles, not to mention countless remixes for the likes of Ferry Corstein and London Grammar.

He also balances his work as a DJ on the decks with gainful employment as a DJ on the radio, having a monthly residency on his labels show Anjunabeats worldwide. He also has his own show on Sirius XM Radio’s channel BPM titled the Together We Are Radio Show that branches out into a podcast of the same name.

This has not gone unnoticed either. One year after his debut, Arty was listed in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs feature and has been nominated for a number of International Dance Music Awards. Sitting pretty as one of the worlds most acclaimed DJs and remixers, Arty is at the top of his game and can only go up from here. Brothers Alexandre and Christopher, natives of Orangeville, Ontario in Canada, spent two years recording their debut album entitled “Initio” which was ultimately released in March 2012. They drew upon several genre influences, which include house, electronic, dubstep, as well as reggae. They started to gain a lot of attention with their single “Tsunami” which was promoted by Dutch DJ Sander Van Doorn, eventually finding it way to BBC Radio 1 airplay. The song also reached Number 1 on the itunes charts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and their home country of Canada.

In 2013 they joined Adventure Club for their North American fall and winter tour, and have also have the chance to perform with Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Showtek as well as Van Doorn himself. During the same year, they were also awarded with the “Ones To Watch” award from Canadian Urban Music Awards. They also made a number of appearances at major music festivals throughout both 2013 and 2014, including Osheaga in Montreal, Canada, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida, Emmaboda Festival in Sweden and Fantasia Festival in Belgium. Additionally, in March 2014 British rapper Tinie Tempah released a remix of “Tsunami” and fared extremely well.
