I've seen Sera Cahoone in concert as drummer for Carissa's Weird as well as for a solo performance quite a few years ago. She is an exceptionally talented musician as she plays multiple instruments and has a beautiful voice. She carries a depth about her inside that inspires me as she translates that depth into listenable emotions that truly pulls at the heart strings. I saw her walking up a Seattle side street back in the day and was so excited seeing her, I rolled down my window and yelled Hey Sera Cahoone! I think she and her friend were shocked I recognized her, but she is just the type that doesn't require people pumping up her ego or being in the spot light to feel relevant. That's why I like her, she's authentic and relatable. Which translates into music that can reach into my own soul as well as many others I've shared her music with.
