Laura Gibson and band performed a set almost exclusively from her latest album "Empire Builders" in support to Dr Dog.

Opening with the instantly accessible "Damn Sure About It" Laura and her band quickly won the hearts of the gathered audience with her fragile songs played with heart warming gusto.

Amazing that she was able to convert recent tragic events in her life (her apartment in New York blown apart by a gas leak, losing everything she owned and cherished) into life affirming songs shows the power of her song writing abilities.

Personal moments turned into generalised themes that we all can relate to.

Epic tales of her train journey to relocate from her Portland, Oregon home to NYC to complete her Masters in Fine Art in Creative Writing captured sublimely in the minor details of life. "Now you're sitting in the kitchen with someone else,
Stacking up peels of your clementines."

If you have't experienced her shows yet, as she sings "Hurry up and find me".

She's a treasure worth finding for sure.

Why Oh Why does such a remarkable talent (this includes the band too) not have a massive following!!!

Laura is spectacular and this is not just due to her wonderful vocal, songwriting & musician skills but her sense of humour and opening herself fully to the audience.

In a way, I'd like to keep this status quo as our select audience in London will get to see her at sublimely intimate venues and not have to share her with all the riff-raff at an 02 type venue :-)

Laura, you (and your amazing band) provided me one of my best ever musical experiences - THANK YOU!!!

Laura Gibson is an uber talented singer songwriter.

I consider her music to be progressive folk...every song is beautiful.

I loved seeing her live and hearing the backstory to many of the songs that I love.

Highly recommended.

Such an amazing show. I love Laura's songs and they were even better live than on the recording. Really glad I could meet her afterwards and tell her what an amazing artist she is.

Laura Gibson has a great voice! And the violin was great! I liked it best when both artist where on stage, like this the show was more dynamic and cheerful!
