Tortured Soul

I've been listening to Tortured Soul for the last several years. I've always wanted to see them live, but have never had the opportunity.

We just happened to be in San Francisco this weekend and were lucky enough to catch tickets to the event. They were amazing. I was curious to know how they'd perform after losing their pianist so suddenly earlier this year. They didn't seem to lose a beat. John (lead vocalist/drummer) is a machine. At times he makes it look so easy, keeping the beat and singing so effortlessly - it's crazy. I could've watched him play all night. Jordan (bass) and the new pianist were great to watch as well.

The band was amazing, very entertaining, high energy band. The crowd was really into the show as well. Only downside, City Winery isn't really setup to host that type of band. Seating is very tight, no room to dance, seats and tables are back to back, plus the waiter padded his tip, Im still trying to get my money back.

Good...Awesome show. They brought the hammer!!! I look forward to seeing them again...

Bad...the pre-show "callestinics" were a bit boring (although DJ Kemit was really good)

Ugly...the stage equipment had a few mishaps, but the boys played through like Champs

Epic! Epic! Epic! Loved the entire night. The Djs were phenomenal. Mike Dunn and Gene Hunt are House Music personified. Tortured Soul's set list was great and its always good to incorporate LIVE music at a party.

wow what a show. Tortured Soul had everyone up and dancing and enjoying themselves .. How do they do it nonstop jamming for two straight hours ..they were so cool meeting everyone after the show ..

Good non-stop funk-disco concert by a good 3 guys-band. Voice equalization was not very good and the sound misses a little bit of brightness Anyway, enjoyable!. I could not stop dancing!!

These guys never disappoint they always give a great show!!!!!! I HAve they in NYC and in DC twice.Just brought new CD at show woooooow! !!!! IS all I can say.
