The German rock band Bohse Onkelz, although they’ve been around since the 80s and had a lengthy hiatus in the mid 2000s, are still on absolute top form in their performances. Although they’ve received much criticism over the years for being ‘skinheads’, they seemed to have redeemed themselves since reforming. They’re guaranteed to put on a great show, and from start to finish they were buzzing with energy and showed 100% commitment to their performance.
Each member of the band is incredibly talented on their instrument, and they opened the show by each playing a short instrumental show that build up to a crescendo of their collaborations, ad they launched straight into Turpentine. The crowd were going absolutely wild, pushing forward to get closer to the band, and singing along to every track.
Throughout the show, as well as putting on an incredible physical performance jumping and dancing around, they played a great variety of songs from Ber Nette Mann tracks from back in the 80s, right up to Adios from 2004. From start to finish they were encouraging us all to sing and dance along, and no one needed much convincing, the atmosphere was so electric that it was impossible to stand still!
