Formed of three brothers, Henry (guitars), JoJo (bass) and Ringo Garza (drums), the Los Lonely Boys were surrounded by music from an early age, becoming their father's backing band before they had reached their teens. Having relocated back to Texas, US from Nashville, US, the brothers set out on their own, developing their unique style.
In 2003, they recorded their self-titled debut record, which they recorded at Willie Nelson's Austin, Texas, US, studio. Epic Records were impressed by the album, re-releasing it for their major label debut in 2004, finding chart success. Rounding out a successful year, they received a Grammy Award for 'Best Pop Performance' in 2004.
After this breakout success, Los Lonely Boys continued to record strong albums, with 2006's "Sacred," 2008's "Forgiven" and the christmas-themed album, "Christmas Spirit," also in 2008. After releasing an EP of covers, "1969," they recorded the powerful "Solid Ground," a song written to raise money and attention of the Family Justice Center of Erie County, an Austin-based charity that supported victims of domestic violence.
Years of constant touring took its toll, and JoJo Garza had developed lesions on his vocal chords in 2010, prompting a break from live performances. It was another year before a new album of original material, 2011's "Rockpango," saw release. More health problems plagued the sibling-trio, after Henry Garza fell from the stage and suffered a serious spinal injury. After recovery, the band returned to strength in 2014, releasing their new album, "Revelation." The album was a moderate success, peaking at number 128 on the Billboard 200.

One of the many perks of being a university student is the chance to see tons of shows, for free. One of the shows that I took full advantage of was the Los Lonely Boys at the Riverside Fox Theater in Riverside, California. Consisting of brothers Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza, Los Lonely Boys combine their Chicano upbringing with American rock and roll.
When I saw them, the crowd consisted of a large mix of people of all ages. The venue was seated, so it was a fairly mellow show. The lights came down, except for the stage lights, and some stuffy middle-aged Fox theater worker introduced the band. But when the band took the stage the energy instantly changed. They opened with “Diamonds,” which got a lot of people up off their seats to jam to the music, and they remained that way until the end of the show. I was really happy with the fact that they performed songs from all of their albums, including their old stuff. It was also the first time I had heard their new stuff, which has taken on more of a laid back tempo.
Even though I was there with a group of my college friends, it was a nice family affair type show. Their music appeals to so many people, and the live sets are, believe it or not, much more energetic than their studio versions.

It is pretty difficult to categorise Texan outfit Los Lonely Boys into genre as their rock is known to take influence from the likes of Chicano, Blues, Roots and Latin. No matter where you place the group, there is no doubt they know how to play rock exceptionally well. The trio of brothers have been making music together since the mid-90s yet after their second self titled album hit the US top 10 in the mid 00s the group were catapulted into the limelight and took the large stage incline completely in their stride.
In recent years their commercial acclaim has been steadily decreasing however the growing technical sound is really great to watch onstage as the band really has to focus and throw themselves into the performance when recreating the body of 'Revelation' for example. A couple of older tracks make their way onto the setlist for the benefit of older fans and the singalong is dramatically larger during 'Nobody Else' yet it is clear by the final huge round of applause that the audience has enjoyed tonight's show as a whole.

The concert was postponed due to a death in the family. The problem we did not find this out until we showed up at the show. They still had this event listed on House of Blues webpage at the time of the show. The lady at the box office said we should be getting an email from Ticketmaster offering a refund or tickets to show whenever it is rescheduled for, which it had not been at the start time 8:30p last night. I understand circumstances beyond anyone's control happens but it would have been nice if we had some notice the concert had been postponed or put on their website instead of still having the event listed at show time. It would have saved us a lot of time, gas and disappointment.

The Lonely Boys were phenomenal,amazing...they had everyone on their feet dancing the entire night. The concert under the stars surrounded by the beautiful architecture of the LA buildings along with a little breeze on this special summer night was the perfect setting for "How High is Heaven", the crowd sang along and just had a blast. Love those Lonely Boys, Can't wait to see them again. Peace and Love!

Fabulous free show in downtown L.A. A gentle warm night under the stars (actually, it was a solid cloud mass) with energetic, on point music, incredibly intense guitar solos, fancy spinning bass playing antics, and solid drumming backbone. These guys never fail to impress. It's good to be alive when you can commune with Los Lonely Boys!

The Los Lonley Boys are an Amazing Texican Rock Band! They will keep you on your feet. Great Musicians and songwriters. They are a force to be reckoned with.They have a loyal fan base, and will leave you wanting to see more.Truly talented and humble. A must see show! Excellent !!!

Great Concert. Cool chill vibe. Good stage presence, strong voices, excellent musicianship. Enjoyed part where one brother played a solo while the other thumbed the baseline all on the same guitar. The a capella version of More than Love was a great encore.
