Smith Street Band. Thanks for not skipping canberra
One of the highlights of my year, The atmosphere was awesome! and for such a small gig in a canberra pub- I wasn't expecting it to get so rowdy. By the encore, half the crowd was a mosh pit, and the other half where crowd surfing on top of them!
They played all their best stuff from the new album like 'surrender', as well as some classic favourites like 'young drunk' and 'don't fuck with our dreams'. Best music to drink to on the market. I didn't come across a single person who wasn't into it- Everyone seemed ready to grab a stranger and yell lyrics with them before jumping into the most energetic friendly mosh environment ever.
Best night in a long time, make sure to check them out. They seem to attract a good fun style of fan, and they are one of those bands that sound 10 times better live than on the radio or itunes (or wherever the kids do these days).
Also be sure to get them on Vinyl- They sell for between 15 to 20 each at their gigs, and not only are they a band that sound much better on vinl than CD, the records themselves look really unique!
Awesome night out, would recommend to anyone who's into this style of music, and I would recommend beers before hand - They come out punching with the good stuff, so don't expect to wait till the end to hear your favourites, they mix em up the whole way through!

Will (vocals) came out in crutches and due to a leg injury was forced to sit the whole evening. This did not diminish the band's performance to the sold out crowd. Playing fan favs, such as ducks fly together as well as songs of there latest record. They also debuted a new song off there next record aswell. overall the performance was on point and had plenty of sing alongs, dancing and energy. Finishing the set with young drunks everyone at max watts left happy into the cold Melbourne night.
Unbelievable. Small venue. Great show. The band members were incredibly nice and stuck around after just talking with fans. Ten out of ten would see again. Was their first time in Nashville and hope its not the last.
Great Band to see live, in a church a definite interesting setting, loved the warm up acts, so good they were.
Couldn't have been happier with the gig, it was a show worth seeing and would see them again.
Waited ages to see SSB live but man, was it worth the wait? You bet they were.
They were absolutely sick.
If you've never seen them then put them on your hit list.
Awesome!
