Having been a long time listener of Lords of Acid since the 90's thanks to some friends, I've always wanted to attend one of their concerts. As I was young at the time when I started to listen to them, I wasn't able to actually attend a concert of theirs. Fast forward to 2011 when I was 20 at the time and I found out that they were playing at a venue not very far from my area. When I heard that, I was absolutely ecstatic! Finally I would be able to see one of my favorite childhood bands in person! I purchased a ticket online and also ordered some of their merchandise in major anticipation for the concert. The day of the concert, I arrived early so I could get a front row seat in the mosh pit area, and myself and other fans beside me could barely contain our excitement. After the doors closed, the room went pitch black, and the voice of Mea reverberated off the walls of the building. She screamed into the mic "ARE YOU READY?" and everyone in the room screamed "YES!". Immediately after, they appeared on stage and began to play "Rough Sex". The whole experience was what I had hoped it would've been for all these years and much more. I'm definitely going to attend more of their concerts!
Saw them just this Friday as part of their Make Acid Great Again tour. The openers Ominous Duck were cool, Praga Khan's set was amazing, and Lords of Acid were so much fun!!! They were high fiving people, tossing blow up dolls into the crowd, drinking piss. The crowd was really into it. I'm not usually much of a dancer but I couldn't stop dancing. Then after the show I got to take a selfie with the vocalist Gigi Ricci, she was very friendly!!! She also had a whip and flogged me. Great night, best concert of my life.
I'd been waiting a year to see Lords of Acid live after missing them last time around at Dante's. The show was everything I hoped it would be. Great choice of songs, just the right length of show, GREAT stage presence and it was obvious they were enjoying entertaining us, rather than a generic by the book show like my experience seeing W.A.S.P. live back in 2000. I only wish they'd brought more merchandise, like POSTERS.
Absolutely amazing show from the moment the show started til the last song ended. Lords were great and couldn't have picked a better opening set of acts with Gabriel And The Apocalypse, the girls of Little Miss Nasty, Orgy and the never disappointing Genitorturers. This is a show I could see myself going city to city to follow. Wow!!!!
Lords was great. Lots of energy, but CombiChrist killed it! KMFDM cover's by EN ESCH were on point! 4.20 stars!Loved the Fonda, minus the $30 for parking. Christian Death was OK and the only thing missing was my desire to complete this bucket list of bands!
Great show. Everything was better than expected. The venue Bottom lounge was great. Little Miss Nasty, Genitorturers were a blast. The Orgy was great and Lords of Acid was awesome too. Well worth the trip to Chicago from Kitchener Canada
I flew my friend in from Texas just so we could do the show together. She was Blown away, all the groups put on a Great show! Lots of cool fun freaky people! Wouldn't have missed it!
One of my favorites in the world I couldn't afford to see the concert but I still love their music. It makes me happy they made it to las vegas.I wish I could of went to see them.
