The distinctively beautiful folk voice of Maria Mena washed over the auditorium as she stood centre stage and opened the show with the wonderful I Was Made For Lovin You. The Norwegian pop artist commanded the stage with grace and confidence and gave a wonderfully emotional performance before stopping to introduce herself and her band to the applauding audience.
She predominantly focused on playing through Weapon In Mind, her newest album, which charted at number one in Norway. She also visited some of her top selling singles from the earlier albums such as Just Hold Me, and Homeless. She interacted really well with her band as well as giving a stand out performance of her own. She signalled to them through the nod of the head for them to take a solo, or transition to the next song, something that worked very effectively.
From start to finish she was completely dedicated to the performance, and she was encouraging the audience to sing a long with her more well known songs, which was great. She also played us a preview of a new single which was incredible to hear before release.
Fantastisk konsert, Maria leverer som vanlig.
Flott stemning i operaen, flott med overraskelsen litt uti konserten da det kom et helt symfoni orkester.
Fullsatt sal gjorde stemningen komplett.
Gleder meg til neste konsert med Maria Mena.
