Revolverheld

Getting inspiration from the Indian Ocean earthquake for their name, the German pop-rock band Revolverheld took shape in 2004. Building their career through numerous support slots for artists such as Donots and Silbermond, the band were able to captivate audiences all over Germany. Gaining popularity from the release of their single ‘Rock n Roll’, the band signed with Sony BMG in 2005 and went on to release their debut self-titled album which scored them huge success, reaching number seven in the German charts and certified platinum. Clearly just the beginning of the climb to success, touring all over Europe the band have steadily increased their fan base whilst managing to produce 4 top ten albums.
Yes the managed to snag one of the biggest labels in the world, but Revolverheld have deserved every piece of success- you won’t find a harder working band. Relentlessly touring is an apt way for the band to show their appreciation and gratitude for getting to where they are today. Playing for as many as 70,000 dedicated and passionate fans, the band get everyone involved clapping along as they delve through some of their biggest and most popular songs like ‘Spinner’, Ich lass für dich das Licht an’ and ‘Generation Rock’. Frontman Johannes Strate enthuses the crowd with his infectious energy as he shakes his tambourine. If there’s one thing you can guarantee is that Revolverheld put their all into every performance, full of energy and incredible showmanship as they mix it up incorporating piano ballads. You’ll definitiely find yourself falling in love with Revolverheld.

If you ever get a chance, you must see Revolverheld in concert. These guys are from Germany, and totally know how to enthrall and capture any venue. I was really psyched to see them a few years ago, totally by accident with some friends, and can’t wait to see them again. I have always liked them since I first heard their album "Chaos Theory", and liked that so much that I downloaded “Gunfighter” as well. Their songs are great on CD, but truly even better in a small venue like we saw them in.They are a definition of a true rock band, and can perform incredible ballads. Each member truly adds to the musical experience. The lead singer, Johannes Strate, totally gets into the music and has an awesome way of interacting with the audience. Each band member interacts differently, but it really just adds to the musical experience. They all really puts so much energy and emotion into each song, which sets the mood incredibly well. Some of their best known songs, all of which are fantastic live, are "Generation Rock", “Chillin With You”, “Weirdos”, and the best by far live, I think, is “No More Love Songs”. “Spinner” is also really incredible performed live. I really recommend seeing Revolverheld live if you ever get the chance. They do not disappoint, and just put on a truly great show.

Ottakringer Arena, Wiesen,05.08.2016 - Revolverheld Unplugged in drei Akten: ein einfach atemberaubendes spitzenmässiges Konzert vom Allerfeinsten! Gänsehautfeeling von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute! einfach TOP!brilliante Performance,die Auswahl der Songs war genial - von "Uralt"Liedern bis zum aktuellen Album, wie immer excellente Performance von Johannes (einfach nur TOP! diese Stimme...)& der Band. Total sympathisch die Jungs - und ein stimmiges Ensemble. Atemberaubende Stimmung und geniale Atmosphäre, vorallem als gleich nach den ersten Takten von "ich lass für dich das Licht an" das Publikum geschlossen und ohne Johannes, der ziemlich verblüfft ob der Textsicherheit seiner Fans vor dem Mikro verharrte, den Song gesungen hat. Danach spielte er nochmal den Song, diesmal stimmte er in den Chor mitein. Wirklich toll! ...es hätte noch Stunden so weitergehen sollen, viel zu schnell war die Zeit vorüber, aber der einmalige Nachgeschmack und die tollen Erinnerungen bleiben für EWIG!

More than I could expect for a concert. Funny, many laughs, making people participate inviting them to the stage,... just simply awesome concert. Unforgetttable memories I will treasure at this beautiful location in Berlin. I didn´t know some songs as I am a foreigner and was introduced to this group few months ago and this was a birthday present. The best I could have with the surroundings, the atmosphere and the company. Simply great.

Die Jungs sind einfach der Hammer, sowohl als Musiker, als auch als Entertainer. Absolutes Highlight: Das Publikum singt lautstark 'Ich lass für dich das Licht an'. Gänsehaut-Moment!
