Charlie Cunningham

I first saw Charlie Cunningham as a support act for Stornoway. I really enjoyed this gig at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford. He's a great performer and his band are good musicians, too. My only complaint is that sometimes, particularly early in the set, the band drowned out Charlie's percussive strumming, which was one of the unusual aspects of his playing that caught my interest in the first place.

Amazing show! His voice, the music, the bands coordination all on point. The venue however was a different story: no AC and poor sound system or person in charge. Everyone was dying of heat in the crowded space. Band kept having to deal with feedback. I felt bad for the band and bad for myself and everyone else who paid and couldn't fully enjoy the show.

This concert was one of the best ones I have ever been to. He sounds even better than the studio version and he plays the guitar like a boss.

I also liked very much when suddenly he started playing the guitar 'por soleá'.

It was a beautiful concert that moved me to tears. It was amazing to see Charlie perform with his band. Can't wait to attend more concerts, it's always a very special experience. Cheers, Charlie and band!

Charlie puts on a killer show! Great musicality that feels both rich and intimate at the same time. Solid set list and highly talented band mates. Nice guy, too. Highly recommend.
