Blackbriar

Blackbriar is one of my favourite bands and I've attended many of their shows. If you have any interest in symphonic metal, gothic themes, and/or female fronted metal you should definitely go see them.

Blackbriar has a unique sound, thanks in large part to their vocalist Zora whose voice is an interesting mix of power and a haunting sound. This is a perfect fit for the lyrics which generally concern eerie themes, like fairy/folk tales, fantasy, or romance with a dark twist.

The band is fairly heavy with three guitarists and solid drums, but also melodic with live keyboards, backing orchestration, and of course Zora's excellent vocals.

Last but not least, the band clearly loves what they do and cares about its fans. Come and see for yourself!

I have first heard about Blackbriar by chance, listening to I'd Rather Burn. That was enough to get me hooked: not only Zora's voice, but the visuals of the music video too made me realize how great this band could be.
I had a chance to see them live in 2021 for the first time, and oh man, was it a blast. Since then, every single live performance has been wonderful: the energy this band can convey with their music is extraordinary. Every single member does their job flawlessly, making each song a musical experience to remember.
Did you know they make their own music videos? The cinematographic quality is excellent in every single one of them! Zora being a born actress helps conveying even more the storytelling abilities she and the band have.

Saw them live in Antwerp and god damn what a performance, vocals where amazing and so was everythingg else..One of the band members headbanged with me and my mate for the whole performance lol..even went to us to shake our hands and have a small chat with us (we even got a picture with the whole band afterwards)

We saw Blackbriar in Cleveland Ohio and Chicago Illinois in 2024. Both were fantastic shows. Blackbriar's performance was incredible song after song. Zora's voice is mystical and the music unforgettable. We also had an opportunity to meet the band. Zora and the guy's are amazing people and musicians. Blackbriar really treats the fans like family.
