Inna is a Romanian singer and dancer best known for becoming the first European female to achieve a total of one billion views on YouTube. Her music is influenced by the likes of Britney Spears and Shakira and she often is compared to contemporaries such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Most of her music is written by Sebastian Barac, Radu Bolfea and Marcel Botezan otherwise known as the producing group Play & Win.
Her first album 'Hot' was released in 2008 and was a moderate international success charting in many European countries and debuting within the UK top 40 album charts. The album's lead single of the same name topped charts in countries including Spain and Romania whilst appearing within the top ten chart of the UK, France and the Netherlands.
'I Am the Club Rocker' was Inna's second full length album and was once again produced by Play & Win. It was not as successful commercially, failing to make any chart placements within the UK. It did however feature a European dance hit 'Sun Is Up' which peaked at #2 in Romania and France as well as #3 in Switzerland. Chart successes aside, she's no doubt a formidable talent with an exciting future ahead of her.
Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu or (as many of you know,) Inna is a Romanian singer, songwriter, dancer. Romania is in Central Europe, and a little bit more than a month ago I had the chance to see her finally live on Viva Comet, a special award show hosted in Budapest, Hungary, neighbour of Romania. Almost all of her songs became international hits, her album ’Hot’ even reached number 1 position in the UK. Her other album ‘I Am the Club Rocker’ received the Romanian Album Of The Year award. She has MTV Europe Music Awards, and some other great achievements. In 2011 she was the richest recording artist in Romania and in Eastern Europe. But now let’s talk about her Viva Comet gig. In Hungary maybe she was the most popular around 2010, but we haven’t forgotten about her nowadays either. The show was awesome, Inna was cute, the crowd was loud, what else should a good concert need? She started with her new hit, the ‘Cola Song’, which has a huge Latin influence. We felt ourselves in Latin America, I really liked that kind of atmosphere. The other song she sang was ‘More Than Friends’ which I think says kind of everything. She jumped, smiled, seemed to enjoy being there, which is important when you want to rate an artist. I agree with choosing these two songs, they were a perfect finale for the whole award show. I recommend her as an artist, go and see her if you have the possibility!
