The acclaimed 14-piece Mingus Big Band returns to celebrate the enduring musical legacy of composer, bassist and visionary Charles Mingus. Created in 1991 by Sue Mingus, the ensemble grew out of the posthumous Mingus Dynasty and Epitaph projects, bringing to life the larger-scale arrangements and expansive ensemble sound that Mingus himself long envisioned.
