For almost 20 years, it's been a cherished tradition: shortly before Christmas, the Erkrath Town Hall transforms into a temple of Japanese drumming. What once began with WADOKYO and has thrilled audiences in recent years together with the Belgian group Feniks Taiko will now continue with Feniks Taiko as a solo performance! Grete Moortgat, who has already captivated Erkrath audiences with previous performances, will once again "rock" the Town Hall with her Japanese drumming. Her regular trips to Japan guarantee that Feniks Taiko is always authentic and up-to-date with the latest in traditional Taiko art. Experience the powerful and primal beats of the drums, a rhythm that the body instantly recognizes – so primal and so captivating! The "MS-Treff Erkrath e.V." support association is delighted to continue this nearly 20-year-old Taiko tradition. Since 2006, Chairman Timo Kremerius has been committed to giving special value to the collected donations through such high-caliber events. The long-standing friendship with WADOKYO has already made numerous weekend trips to the North Sea possible for people with MS – a cause close to their hearts that will once again lead to Egmond aan Zee this September.
