Biografía
After falling in love with the musical Les Misérables at the tender age of six, David Archuleta's passion became singing, something he'd always had a talent for. After four years of tuition he began performing at the age of 10, singing Dolly Parton's “I Will Always Love You” at a Utah talent show and promptly receiving a standing ovation for his troubles. From that moment he knew what he wanted to do with his life, and after spending his early teens as a local sensation around his native Florida, appearing on talk shows and small talent shows, his life would change at the age of 16. In July 2007 he auditioned to be on the seventh series of American Idol, and ten months later, he was singing on the live final for a TV audience of over 30 million people.
He didn't win, and instead came second to David Cook in a huge upset, but he captured the public's imagination in a way that very few other winners have done. By June 2008 he'd signed a record deal with Jive Records, and his debut single “Crush” was released the following August. The track hurtled into the Billboard Hot 100 at number two, needing Rihanna's titanic hit “Disturbia” to keep it off the top spot. His self-titled debut album was another huge hit, certified Gold mere months after it came out, and ever since then, Archuleta has remained one of the most successful American Idol graduates in the history of the series. He's a young artist with a hugely exciting future ahead of him, and for that, he comes highly recommended.

I saw David Archuleta on the Ellen show one afternoon and I thought he was the cutest thing. I guess he was on American Idol, but I never watched that season. I'm glad I caught him on Ellen though because I really enjoyed his voice.
I thought his music would be good and suitable for my teenage daughter. So, when I saw an advertisement stating that he would be performing near our hometown, I decided to pick up tickets for a birthday gift for her. When I gave them to her, she was SO excited. Apparently, she HAD saw him on American Idol. Not only did I earn the title of 'best mom ever' but my little girl was the happiest I had ever seen her. It was so fun to watch her get ready for the show and get all dressed up.
When we got there, she was SO impressed with how close our seats were to the stage. If she didn't have one already, I'm sure she left the place with a HUGE crush on David. I can't blame her, he is really cute. And, his voice is so soft, sweet and beautiful. His songs were perfect for her. Nothing obscene or anything like that. Just beautiful words and graceful music to go along with it. We had a great, memorable night!
Talent competitions have been churning out readymade pop stars for years and many tend to crash and burn shortly after their careers begin. Some though however attain a little special something which means they use the platform for exposure and then just run with the opportunity, David Archuleta is very much one of these contestants. After finishing as a runner up back in 2008, he has gone on to have a lucrative career where his fanbase has materialised thanks to reputation and recommendation.
He has so much energy onstage, walking from side to side to make sure everybody is involved in the performance. He may only be young yet he has already recorded numerous albums so there is no issue in packing out a setlist and the fans scream for nearly every song performed. He closes on 'You Can' as opposed to his biggest hit 'Crush' yet it manages to get a similar reaction with great performance and involves the whole crowd.
I"ve followed David Archleta"s career since I first heard & saw him on,American Idol. This is a special young man that God has not only blessed him with the gift of so many talents, but the very unique gift of sharing and speaking of lifes lessons though his music and with his heart felt love of God.
I hope to see him this coming March 2022 at the Boston,"City Winery"> The last concert I have been to was in,1968 when I saw, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap and Tommy James & the Shondels for, only $6.50 a ticket.
Boy, have I aged mysel? All good! God Bless all.
Flew into Sacramento, CA from Chicago just to hear David perform once again. It has been a few years hearing him sing Live. It was worth the trip. David sang beautifully and he was even better this time, if that is possible. He has definitely matured and loves his Art, such a talented sweet young man. If you are looking for a concert to attend, young or old, you will not be disappointed. Hope David Archuleta comes closer to Chicago in the near future. I will definitely be there.
The concert was absolutely amazing! David was my first concert at the age of 8, and I've waited 10 years to hear him again! It was worth the wait because the music was just incredible, not to mention his sweet personality. When he sang, he lit up the room. His music has put so much positivity in my life, and it was a blessing to hear it live. Definitely a night to remember.
