Críticas en vivo
There have been some genuinely ridiculous musical trends over the course of the past decade or so; some of them cleverly corporate, others just plain stupid, but I’m not sure any have numbed the mind in quite the same manner that crunkcore did. In fact, it’s a word I can’t quite believe I’m typing in the first place; after all, crunk itself was barely a genre in the first place, so to try to put another spin on that makes me want to crawl into a ball and cry; chief among the offenders were Albuquerque natives Brokencyde. No wonder Walter White did such a roaring trade there if this was what the residents had to listen to day in, day out. Nevertheless, despite the critical maulings that they’ve frequently been subject to, they’ve also maintained a cult fanbase all over the world, and continue to tour to this day. Their most recent tour in the UK, last year, came in support of their greatest hits album - another thing I can’t believe I’m typing - and you at least couldn’t fault them for effort, as they turned in genuinely energetic displays that, whilst not everybody’s cup of tea, certainly delighted those who’ve stuck with them through reviews like this one.
