Just the fact that i went from Geneva to Baden to watch these guys already says alot. Such an amazing band, no gimmicks, no bs, just headbanging, neck sore, shirt sweating music !!! The Portal of I was such a great opener but they have really improved their music writing and the tracks on URN are such live music worthy, the crowd was completely in their hands from the beginning. The "duel" between Benji and Tim in Intra Venus was magic. Tim's voice contrasting with Xen's was everything and more. Martino's bass is like being in a thunderstorm with birds singing, from pure power to such finesse. And Benji and Matt's guitars are the perfect complement to all this, along with Dan's drums that are just unstopable. All in all, best concert i've seen in years, and i have been in quite a few.
Incredible band and even more so live! Tim Charles (clean vocalist and violinist) has such an amazing stage presence and an infectious energy and clearly loves to connect with the audience. Martino Garattoni (bassist) absolutely killed it, the bass solo in “Devour Me, Colossus” was... perfect. I’ve always loved it but to see it live was just a privilege.
The venue had amazing acoustics and everything sounded just as it did on the albums, but with that bone rattling sound that you can only get in a live setting.
This was the first time I had seen them live and it will certainly not be the last. I have loved this band for a while, but seeing them live has cemented a place for them in my heart forever now.
These guys are better every time. I've seen them 3 times now in NYC (they were the headliners for 2 of the 3). This most recent one was in a very small, intimate venue, which makes the show even better.
They have an amazing stage presence. Every member of the band really loves what they do. They're super-engaged with the audience and you can tell that they're so happy to see everyone that came out for their show.
Particularly this time around, I noticed that Tim's vocals sound better than ever. The new bassist (who may or may not be a permanent band member) meshes perfectly with the rest of the band and puts on a great show, too.
I will go out to see these guys every time they're in town.
A fantastic show. I saw them once before here, back in January. Xenoyr (growl vocals) was sick at the time, but we got the pleasant surprise of hearing Tim Charles' wife play violin then instead.
This time Xenoyr was back in full action and did an amazing job, as did everyone else.
Can't praise them enough, this band is one of my all-time favorite progressive metal bands. The blend between fast paced guitars, drums, violin, growls and clean vocals all at once, all coming together in a beautiful harmonic melody is a sight to behold.
Will gladly see them again with every chance I get.

I loved very much the concert! As well the music, but the anthagonistic appearance of the voices, sophisticated theatral presentation through simplicity, though and gentle, very beautiful feelings, thank you guys, you are awesome. I must admit you are my 13 years old son favourite band(that boy, your t shirt, youngest audience), I myself am opethian, but believe me,I came to see you from Cluj, România, 500 km, driving back home the night and I don't regret!! I will listen to your music more and can't wait to see you live again! don't stop please, you are very very very good
This guys are amazing! They live performance is FLAWLESS and the sound was very well balanced so it was not overwhelming.
They played songs from both Portal of I and Citadel so it was great for both the new fans and the not so new. At the end of the show as always, the whole band was on the merchandise stand to greet the fans and sign stuff.
These guys deserve a lot more attention, so make sure to spread the word and bring people over to their shows, they will not regret it!!
Amazing show! Ne Obliviscaris execute flawlessly both the powerful technical prog/black parts and the mellower atmospheric excerpts with the violin. So much energy, it's obvious they enjoy what they're doing! Highly recommended, I have very high expectations from this band!
I saw them on the 2016 tour supporting Enslaved, which was quite a good fit, as opposed to Cradle of Filth last year.
Great Show !!!!!!!! Ne Obliviscaris never seem to fail us. They always Rock out. This was my third show seeing Ne Obliviscaris , After seeing them open for Cradle of Filth I was hooked on there sound and energy. Tim Charles with his clean vocals and beautiful stringing violin and Xenoyr with his growing vocals makes this band one of a kind. Check them out! You will not be sorry.
Despite the fact that I had second thoughts, due to the band releasing IMO a very similar album to their previous efforts, I was very pleasantly surprised to see how good they are live! Good connection with the audience, technically amazing and a lot of energy. Don't miss them!
