Biografía
Born on 28 February 1979, Sander Van Doorn made his first big musical achievement by securing residencies at Judgement Sunday in Ibiza, Spain and at the Gallery in London, England, after getting started in 2004. In 2006 he did an essential mix for BBC Radio One in the United Kingdom. In addition to his original mixes, he has also remixed a number of notable artists’ songs including Sia, The Killers, Swedish House Mafia, Depeche Mode, Armin Van Burren, and Arctic Monkeys.
In March 2008 Van Doorn released his first full-length album entitled “Supernaturalistic” with Spinnin’ Records, a Dutch independent label. Also that same year he won an award for 'Best Breakthrough DJ' in the International Dance Music Awards at the Miami Winter Music Conference. His music was well received by both fans and electronic music critics around the world, and during the summer of 2010 he had residency at the world famous Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza, Spain. He has since played a number of major music festivals including the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States and Transmission in Prague, Czech Republic.
In 2011 Van Doorn released his second album, “Eleve11” and played at Energy, Mysteryland, EDC and started a residency at worldwide Sensation festivals. In addition to continual releases of his songs and remixes, he also started his own monthly internet radio show called "Identity" on Digitally Imported radio.

Sander Van Doorn’s performance at Ultra Music festival in Miami, Florida, USA was nothing short of exhilarating, as was expected. The Netherlands born DJ, who has collaborated with artists like The Killers and Lady Gaga brought a show that was so full of energy not dancing was not an option; especially with such a packed crowd.
The hour-long set started out strong, with a lot of anticipation being built up until a sky full of streamers hot the peak of the first song. Unfortunately the MC for the show was a little too much and kept trying to pump up a crowd that was already ready to go. Sander really just needed to continue doing his thing without the help of the MC. The stage was really simple, which made sense because it was still light out, but there was still some background light synced to the music; but to make up for it, there were a few stage dancers. Sander was also very crowd engaging, getting the crowd up and moving with his arm pumping.
The best part about the set was the fact that he drew so many different people. At Ultra people are coming from all around the world and during his set you saw a lot of different country flags, all enjoying the music that Sander was playing.
With electronic music becoming more and more popular, and professional DJs cropping up all over the place, it’s difficult to stay on top of your game as a professional and make your mark, but that’s something that Sander van Doorn hasn’t had any problem with at all. Ranked in the top 100 DJs of today, van Doorn is currently sitting comfortably at no. 18. Insane talent right there.
The progressive house/electro house music that he creates seemed perfect for the nightclubbing summer season of Ibiza, and that’s where Netherlands born van Doorn made his mark. His remixes are fresh and original, and exciting for listeners time and time again. The thing I love is how prominent he makes the beat, so that every track is one to dance along to.
I saw him mixing like crazy in London a while back, and it blew my mind. As well as smashing some epic tracks from his latest album Gold Skies, he did some live mixes, and also some tracks from his older albums. The vibe was amazing, and everyone was dancing start to finish. Serious talent, seriously awesome night.
In a world where a large amount of DJs are relying on over emphasised visuals and lighting displays during their gigs, Sander van Doorn is focusing far more on the party emphasis. Although visuals can often emphasise sounds, they also have the ability to distract the crowds from what they are listening to or to take them out of the moment altogether. Dutch musician Sander Ketelaars does not feel the need to overcomplicate his operation, and the proof is in the show, one that has seen him appear on DJMag's top 100 djs list every year consistently since 2006.
Over the years he has built a loyal fanbase, yet it is the energy and danceable qualities of his music that means he is able to keep the crowd in its entirety jumping along all evening. They enjoy his indie remixes of Arctic Monkeys and The Killers which receive momentous singalong during the choruses before van Doorn once again mixes them in his unpredictable manner to get the crowds jumping. Although new DJs are appearing all the time, some artists have real longevity on the scene.
